Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Neurosciences Program Coordinator, Lisa Raman, will provide information about pediatric headaches. This educational offering includes practical applications and will assist school health personnel in the delivery of care to children and teens in the school and community setting. Participants will be able to distinguish between types of headaches and headache patterns, describe appropriate treatments; including preventive and abortive interventions, and explain how to detect an urgent headache.
Objective: Upon completion of the activity, participants will have increased knowledge of and confidence in the provision of care, promotion of health education, with intention to apply knowledge to practice.
